Types/styles of communication

As effective communication is vital in health care, it is essential to understand the varying communication styles and how they are conveyed. As Kunhke (2012) states, keeping open minded to varying communication styles provides for diversity and an insight of opposing points of view. By understanding that communication comes in varying forms, it will allow me to be more mindful when working with patients.
Through this obtained knowledge, the communication between my patients and I will contribute to a better outcome in health. This is due to the receiving of information whilst being mindful and respectful.
